Practical info

All our advice for a serene crossing.
1

Get ready

What time should I arrive at the port before boarding?

We recommend that you arrive at the port at minimum 1h30 before departure time of your crossing. This delay takes into account the access conditions specific to each port terminal, which may vary depending on how busy the port is at the time of your departure. It allows you to go to the ticket control, drop off your luggage and get on board peacefully.

At what time does boarding close?

Boarding is closed 15 minutes before departure. After this period, access to the ship can no longer be guaranteed, including for passengers with a valid ticket. We do not recommend arriving at the last minute.

How does boarding happen?

Upon arrival at the port, present your ticket (digital or printed version) as well as a valid ID at the Cors' Express checkpoint. You will then be guided to the boarding gate. The ship has a limited capacity — the boarding order is managed by our teams on site.

What documents are required to board?

To board a Cors'Express ship, you must present:

• A valid ticket (digital or printed)

• A valid identity document: national identity card or passport

Since the crossing is between France and Italy, two member countries of the Schengen area, a valid national identity card is sufficient for French nationals.

⚠️ Attention: some identity cards issued between 2006 and 2013 remain valid for 15 years in France, but this extension is not always recognized abroad. If in doubt, choose a passport or identity card whose validity date is clearly in progress.

Can I travel with an animal?

Cors'Express accepts dogs and cats weighing less than 8 kg on board, in strict compliance with the following conditions.

General conditions:

• The animal must travel in its closed transport cage for the duration of the crossing

• He must never leave his cage on board

• The cage must be placed under the constant supervision of its owner

• Pets are not allowed in indoor common areas

Mandatory documents for a France—Italy crossing:

• European pet passport

• Electronic identification chip

• Up-to-date rabies vaccination

• Up-to-date health book

⚠️ The presence of your animal must be declared when booking. The number of animal seats is limited on board. Any animal that is not declared may be refused boarding.

Exception — Service dogs : Recognized guide dogs and service dogs are allowed on board without weight restrictions, subject to supporting documentation. For any prior request, contact our customer service before your reservation.

My child is a minor, can he travel?

A minor traveling accompanied by an adult with parental authority may board without any special procedure, provided they present a valid identity document in their name.

A minor traveling alone or with a third party must be provided with:

• Your own valid ID

• An authorization to leave the country signed by both parents or legal guardians, accompanied by a copy of the identity document of the signing parent

⚠️ These rules apply to all passengers under the age of 18, regardless of nationality. The absence of this document may result in denied boarding.
